Mexico is one of the most complex and diverse industrious states in the country, nestled in magnificent surroundings of arid landscapes, fertile valleys and imposing volcanoes. It is bordered by eight states and features a varied climate ranging from semi-tropical in the south, to cold in the northern and central parts of the state, with lush forests of up to 8,500 feet above sea level.

The breathtaking city of Teotihuacan in Mexico is a city of legends. According to the Nahuas, the metropolitan city was the original birth site of the fifth sun, the beginning of a new era for the Aztecs. However, because the city had already been abandoned when the Aztecs arrived in the region, all signs of previous existence were attributed to the gods. The archaeological zone of Teotihuacan was inhabited for nearly 2000 years and existed alongside the Mesoamerican cities of Cholula and Monte Alban. It is one of the country’s major tourist attractions and formerly one of the largest and most complex metropolises in prehispanic Mexico.

The city of Toluca lies at an altitude of 8,793 feet above sea level, making it the highest city in the country. It is located in the central region of Mexico, only 40 miles from Mexico City, extending over the stunning, lush valley of Toluca. The city’s magnificent backdrop contains the Nevado de Toluca, featuring two small lakes in its crater – “Laguna de la Luna” and “Laguna del Sol” – making it a visual inspiration for all those who visit.

Valle de Bravo (Valley of the Brave), on the other hand, is a charming mountain village adorned with cobblestone streets, white stucco colonial houses, wrought-iron balconies and red-tiled roofs. It is located on the shores of a beautiful lake surrounded by pine trees, just one hour away from Toluca. As a result of its breathtaking beauty and numerous attractions, the city is increasingly becoming a popular tourist destination, especially for hang-gliders.

Mexico offers a variety of exciting activities. Travelers can explore ancient archaeological zones, glide through the hills of Toluca or walk around the charming cobblestone streets of Valle de Bravo.
